UNM’s Women’s Resource Center and Women Studies Program have been going strong for 40 years. Their V-Day week celebration offers classes, talks and performances dealing with issues of female empowerment and ending violence toward women. One of the program’s featured events is a staging of Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues , performed by more than 30 UNM students. "Man-ologues" are also involved, and UNM encourages members of all sexes to attend the acclaimed performance piece. A full listing of V-Day events can be found at women.unm.edu.
