What's with Your Gratitude?

#1000Gratitudes Party

So you had a bad day? Maybe it was more like a week? Or a lifetime? Ask me how many Gratitudes I give. The #1000Gratitudes online event began last year when Burque resident and founder of Our Gratitude Collective, Antonia Montoya, posted her 1000th gratitude post on Facebook and it went viral. This year they are throwing a live party in conjunction with the online event.

Think you have no Gratitudes to give? Drop in on the discussion “Finding Gratitude on a Shitty Day.” Get crafty and scrawl your soul on the Candy Chang ReMix “I Am Grateful For” board. If you need to spill more, they will also have butcher paper and a gratitude banner. Learn to “Move with Gratitude” in the dance workshop, and then get down with DJ Nicolatron and your new friends.

Tomorrow, take to your social media sites and post something you are grateful for every hour with #1000Gratitudes; then head on down to The Kosmos (1715 Fifth Street NW), from 4pm to 9pm, to celebrate your gratitude! Cost is $5; free for children. For more information check out OurGratitudeCollective.com. The Kosmos • Wed Feb 11 • 4pm • $5, FREE for kids • ALL-AGES! • View on Alibi calendar
