Rad Verbage: To the Last Word Poetry Slam

Photo by some dude in Production

What’s cooler than being a teenager and being a poet? Very few things, my friend. Poetry seeps into the lives and minds of all generations, but is especially fun to experience through the eyes of today’s youth or, as some say, our future. Warehouse 508 (508 First Street NW) is a community art space that facilitates projects and opportunities for Albuquerque’s youth to explore their artistic talents and collectively support one another. This month’s To the Last Word poetry slam and open mic happens on Friday, July 3, and will feature the poetry of Burque’s youngest talents and give up-and-comers of the New Mexico poetry scene an opportunity to showcase their work. The event is free and open to all ages. Arrive by 6pm to sign up for the open mic, and the slam begins at 7pm! Warehouse 508 • Fri Jul 3 • 6-9pm • FREE • ALL-AGES! • View on Alibi calendar
