Safe Fire Works and No Hangovers

4th of July Celebrate Freedom

Via MorgueFile

Every 4th of July someone’s drunk uncle almost burns his hand off, your neighbors call the police, and you have a four-day hangover. It's just the way Americans spend their holidays: disorderly, drunk and physically unwell. But this 4th of July, the Anderson-Abruzzo Balloon Museum (9201 Balloon Museum NE) has a healthier, safer and more fun alternative to your typical, dysfunctional Independence Day. With fireworks that won’t burn down the Jemez, “giant jumpy toys” (we don’t know what those are, but they sound cool), a dunk tank, volleyball, grassy picnic areas and snow cones, what the hell else would you rather do this Saturday? The celebration starts at 3pm and wraps up around 9:30pm. This event is all ages and alcohol-free (don’t invite your uncle). Tickets are $15-$18 and can be purchased at cpcabq.webconnex.com/celebratefreedom.
