In its 19th totally unique incarnation, Nutcracker on the Rocks opens at the Keshet Center for the Arts on Thursday. This spin on the traditional Christmas ballet unites Tchaikovsky and The Velvet Underground, African dance with swing and basically everything else in-between. For those who want to diverge from the usual holy hymns and holiday tinsel, the show runs until Dec. 13 and with tickets running from $10-29 and available online.
