You know the classic Mary Poppins scene where everyone in the stale banking business finally adopts a sense of humor and skips away to fly kites? Have you ever wanted to relive that scene? If you said "yes" to those two questions, this event is for you. I can't promise any Dick Van Dyke appearances but there most certainly will be a kite festival where you can fly your own kite with other spring weather enthusiasts. Try to ignore allergy-inducing gusts of wind, and take advantage of New Mexico's breezy season on Saturday, April 23, at Wildlife West Nature Park in Edgewood for the Annual Wind Fest. If you don't already have a snazzy kite of your own, don't fret—kites will be available for sale at the festival.
