Sunday, Feb 5: Family Science Workshops: What is a Scientist?

The N.M. Museum of Natural History and Science asks, "What Is a Scientist?" this weekend at their new family workshop. To answer that question, one would need to weigh a sample of "scientist," expose it to various environmental changes, test its component parts, observe the results and publish them for peer review. Or you could just join museum educators as they explore how people use the scientific method every day in their normal lives. This workshop will teach 2-9 year-olds (and their adult companions) how to investigate the everyday by asking questions and being observant. Choose from two workshops: one starting at 11am, and one at 1pm this Sunday, Feb. 5. A donation of $4 at the door is suggested.
