Sen. Ted Kennedy Said:

-Health care is Obama’s first priority.

-Obama has always opposed the Iraq War.

-Obama will offer fairness and justice to immigrants.

-Obama should be able to stir up the enthusiasm of young voters.

-“Un voto para Obama es un voto para la gente”

Of course, Ted Kennedy said these things using more words and a much more exciting voice, but that was the gist of his message.

Things you may not know about Sen. Ted Kennedy:

He is President John F. Kennedy's younger brother.

He is the second-longest serving senator (Domenici was 5th).

His full name is Edward Moore "Ted" Kennedy.

New Mexico Democrats in attendance, included:

Eric Griego, Councilor Isaac Benton, Patricia Madrid, Former Mayor Jim Baca, State Treasurer James Lewis.

Buzzwords: Hope and belief. Introductory speakers were not shy about likening Sen. Obama to President Kennedy.
