Albuquerque Concert Band to Perform at Balloon Museum

The all volunteer Albuquerque Concert Band is anticipating their annual performances at the Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum, scheduled for three Wednesdays: June 8, June 22, and July 6. You are invited to join them for an evening of great band music in a beautiful, casual setting. These free concerts have become a favorite for all ages, and particularly for families, a place where the kids can play and have fun while grownups relax and enjoy their own picnics, or purchase food from one of Albuquerque's popular food trucks.

Guests are welcome to bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnics (no alcohol or glass) and settle in for an evening of rousing music that ranges from Patriotic to Big Band, to popular tunes of today. The one-hour concerts begin at 7pm.

In existence for more than forty years, the Albuquerque Concert Band has been enriching the culture of the Albuquerque community in performance of the great heritage of band music. More than eighty players of a wide range of age and ability meet each week and represent an enormous variety of backgrounds, with vocations ranging from music educator to engineer, from doctor to lawyer.

During the summer season the band is sponsored by the City of Albuquerque's Cultural Services Department. This summer they will present concerts on the East lawn of the Albuquerque Balloon Museum, and at New Mexico Veterans Memorial Park on July 20, August 3 and 17.

The Concert Band will also perform on July 4th at the Balloon Museum as part of the Red, White and Balloons celebration that will include music, food and a great view of Freedom 4th on Balloon Fiesta Field. For more information and ticket prices for this event, please visit:
