Lost Luckies

Alibi Picks B-List

There's plenty going on this weekend, but there's one more event worth some last-minate noting.

Einstein Saves!
Attending a play tonight may save lives. The Filling Station and Mother Road Theatre Company present Willard Simms' award-winning, one-man show Einstein: A Stage Portrait in a benefit for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Tom Schuch performs as Einstein in a set-the-records-straight life story woven with humor, introspect, science and a little violin. Seeing stages big and small throughout the U.S. and Canada, the play makes a stop at the Filling Station (1024 Fourth Street SW) for one night only, so catch it while it's here. Get to the venue early at 7 p.m. for a silent auction and stick around for the performance at 8 p.m. The $20 suggested donation and all proceeds benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (and its tax deductible). Make reservations by phone at 873-4831. Insert insightful and uplifting Einstein quote here.
