How did you get started in this business?
Our first jobs were with Venezia's back in the mid ’80s, and we have grown with the city and its community. It's something that's in our blood. We love offering up our families traditional Italian food.
What is your or your company's greatest asset?
We really do use better, fresher ingredients.
What are your growth goals?
We would like to expand to different parts of Rio Rancho and Albuquerque. To create jobs, to offer great food and to remain a staple in both communities.
What contributions to the community (charitable or otherwise) are you most proud of?
We donate food to Adelante, which redistributes it to homeless shelters and people in need. We also support local causes and schools.
How has the Internet affected your business, and how do you think it might affect your business in the future?
You can place your order for pickup or delivery online. Soon we will have our own app for smartphones. It's a busy society, and people need things on the go. We want to be there for when they need to place that order and pick it up on the way home.
What's your favorite saying or quotation?
Our motto is, "We'll make you a pizza you can't refuse."
Do you have a hero or mentor—business or otherwise?
Our Uncle Frank, who started Venezia's back in 1978. He is still part of our business and has taught us all we know. He is always there to give advice and help in any way we need.
