What is your business philosophy?
We believe in patience with our patients. Making a difference is our purpose and dentistry is how we get there. Everything from our charity work to patient experiences are important to us.
What is your or your company's greatest asset?
Our team. Our kind, friendly staff are trained to care for patients who are afraid of having dental work done. We work hard to make sure we create a stress-free environment for people.
What are your strongest business traits?
We're human. We treat our business like family. We provide excellent customer service to our patients. Our strongest trait is we treat you like more than a client; you're not a number to us.
What significant changes have you implemented recently?
We took our business personally. We took our lives and multiplied our efforts five times over, and it's changed the way we think and operate. A great example is our charity outreach. We had a "Dentistry from the Heart" event, a day where doctors came and provided dental care to people for free. We took it further with #the 2015CharityChallenge this year.
What do you offer that the competition doesn't?
Choice. We offer sedation you choose. If you're afraid, not only will our staff be there for you, but you can also choose from different levels of sedation to calm your nerves. You like to stay awake? We can do that. Will your procedure take a while? We have options. It's what you want.
How do you maintain your competitive edge?
We brainstorm better ways to reach our dental family. We hosted a patient appreciation event where we catered dinner at the Albuquerque Aquarium. We got to know our patients outside the office, which helped us connect to our patients inside the office.
What motivates you to succeed?
We love "aha" moments. The moments when fearful patients become calm. Fearful patients are our favorite patients. We change the ways you look at going to the dentist, and we love it when we take fear and judgement out of the equation.
What is #the2015CharityChallenge?
It's a social media campaign benefiting four charities. Four charities receive $3,000 each. Anyone can submit a charity for nomination. Like our Facebook page, submit the name of a charity, and tell us why they should win. Then get your friends to like our page and like your charity, and the charity with the most likes wins $3,000! The first round of voting ends in April. Let's see those nominations!
What are you most proud of this year?
We are proud to be opening a second office in Rio Rancho. Our business is growing, and we needed space. We're happy to serve our patients in Albuquerque and now in Rio Rancho too.
