Monsoon rains bring mountain wildflowers. Join Ken Collins, for a wildflower walk at Hyde Memorial State Park.

The walk will depart from the visitor center at 10AM. Along the way, learn to identify and understand the unique qualities of the plants and wildflowers found in the area. Distance traveled will be approximately 2 miles round trip – more or less depending upon what we find.

Wear sturdy shoes and pack water and a snack for a morning jaunt in the mountains.

The event is free for valid New Mexico State Parks pass holders; otherwise a $5 per vehicle day use fee applies. Day use permits are available at the self-pay station adjacent to the visitor center.

Location:

Hyde Memorial State Park is nestled in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains just eight miles east of Santa Fe via NM State Highway 475/Hyde Park Road/Ski Basin Road.
