The workshop portion of the panel will focus on the genres and rhetoric that can be used effectively to engage community leaders in this conversation such as letters to the editor, letters to community and government leaders, fact sheets, and effective flyer/poster design. The Big Read is an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts designed to restore reading to the center of American culture.
