Dianne Rand, curandera, gives a guided tour of the Xeric Garden Club’s certified Wildlife Habitat Garden.

Curanderos (“healers” from Spanish) are respected members of the community and have been practicing for the last 300-plus years in New Mexico. She will also explain how creating and preserving habitats enriches our lives, and provides information on how to create one in your own backyard. The Xeric Garden Club of Albuquerque maintains the certified wildlife habitat garden at the Albuquerque Garden Center
