Auditions for 2015-2016 Young Voices of the Santa Fe Opera Program
Open to high school students who desire to study the art of singing.
The Santa Fe Opera announces AUDITIONS for 2015-2016 Young Voices of the Santa Fe Opera Program. The Young Voices of the Santa Fe Opera is open to High School students (entering grades 9-12) who desire to study the art of singing. Instruction by Santa Fe Opera Artists and Music Staff includes individual voice lessons and musical coaching. Lessons are offered in both Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Master Classes with noted teachers are planned as well as attendance at cultural events. Participation in this program is free of charge, however participants are asked to commit to a regular and rigorous training process. Auditions will be held on Saturday, May 2, from 2 to 4pm in Albuquerque and Sunday, May 3, from 2 to 4pm in Santa Fe. Those interested in auditioning for this program must submit an application online and an audition appointment will be assigned. Applicants are asked to prepare a song of their choice for the audition and bring printed music. An accompanist is provided.
