Lama Dudjom Dorjee humorously provides practical ways to apply Buddhist wisdom while living in the modern world.

 

The dvenerable Lama Khenpo Dorjeewas born in eastern Tibet to a nomadic family. He escaped from the Chinese invasion with his family when young and grew up as a refugee in India.  He resolved to study Buddhism when he was young.  He studied Buddhist doctrine for 10 years at the Sanskrit University in Varanasi, India, receiving the Acharya degree. Subsequently he accomplished the traditional 3 year retreat.

 In 1981 he was asked by the 16th Karmapa of the Kagyu lineage to go to the the United States.  Today he resides in Dallas TX as the resident Lama of Karma Thegsum Chöling Center.
