Patricia Crespin's powerful drama about a woman who finds herself homebound and anxiety ridden after the death of her daughter. Runs through 5/17.
In Patricia Crespin's powerful drama, Magda, a Hispanic woman in her thirties, finds herself homebound and anxiety-ridden after her teenage daughter Santana dies of a heroin overdose. Her ebullient, pill-popping best friend, Maya, does everything she can to help her friend overcome her agoraphobia, but she is stuck in her own bittersweet reality, seeking to escape an abusive boyfriend and trying to get an acting career started before it finishes. When Santana appears to Magda as a ghost, both women are compelled by the spirit of the young girl to come to terms with the past and move forward despite the odds. Co-presented by Wize Latina Productions.
