This welcoming practice helps seniors build and maintain muscle tone, bone density and balance with gentle standing poses.
We also build core strength and stability, and practice seated poses that increase seniors' range of motion. We end with relaxation to relieve stress and fatigue. This class includes extensive use of props and is appropriate for seniors and others who are looking for a therapeutic yoga practice to complement physical therapy or aid in recovery from an injury.
