Sebastian Borensztein's fable charts the relationship between a hardware store owner and a Chinese immigrant in Buenos Aires. In Spanish with English subtitles.
Sebastian Borensztein's delicately crafted fable, based on a bizarre real-life event, explores the relationship that develops between Roberts, a lonely and obsessively orderly hardware store owner, and Jun, a Chinese immigrant who has come to Buenos Aires in an attempt to escape the momories of a recent tragedy. Seemingly thrown together by fate, the two are able to communicte only when Roberto finds a Chinese tak-out delivery boy to translate for Jun and discovers his own capacity for kindness and friendship.
