Colores de Vida: A Weekend of Healing and Celebration to benefit the Children’s Grief Center of New Mexico is happening in downtown Albuquerque on Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31.

The weekend begins Saturday morning, May 30 at 10 a.m. at Gambei Wellness Spa and Salon, 1016 Lomas Blvd NW, with a two-hour yin yoga/breathing workshop. Following the yoga workshop, there will be a demonstration of Essential Oils for Healing, and an open house with snacks, teas, and information about the Children’s Grief Center of New Mexico. Cost of the Saturday event at Gambei is $60.

Sunday evening, May 31st, Sister Bar at 407 Central Avenue in downtown Albuquerque will open its doors at 5 p.m. with local Albuquerque band Baracutanga bringing the infectious rhythms of South America. Dance floors are always packed when Baracutanga performs! The celebration features a fabulous silent auction where proceeds will benefit the Children’s Grief Center. Donations of $15 at the door will also benefit programs at the Children’s Grief Center.

To join the entire weekend of festivities – from the Saturday morning wellness workshop to Sunday evening’s dance party with Baracutanga – total cost is $75.
