Do your interests have a weird cross section like manga and Shakespeare? Mine too. This Saturday, you can indulge in the marriage of your very particular passions at the New Mexico Museum of Art's St. Francis Auditorium in Santa Fe. In conjunction with the visit of Shakespeare's First Folio to the museum and the 400th anniversary of the Bard's death, facilitators will lead a workshop helping participants create their own graphic version of Hamlet's famous “To Be or Not to Be” soliloquy. This event is totally free and open to the public; get thee to the New Mexico Museum of Art at 1pm. (Maggie Grimason)

This hands-on workshop leads participants through creating their own manga/graphic version of Hamlet's soliloquy, 'To be or not to be.'

The workshop starts with an introduction to the medium of manga/comic book representations of text followed by a discussion of the imagery in the soliloquy. Then each participant will create their own version of the text. Facilitators and artists will work with participants as they imagine their own version of this famous text. Dr. Kristin Bundesen will lead this workshop.
