The New Mexico Territory attracted a colorful medley of characters that created our history and the city of Albuquerque. The Albuquerque Historical Society offers a FREE Downtown walking tour that explores our very diverse settlers and their contributions to our history. Wear comfortable shoes and allow 1 1/2 to 2 hours for the tour, which starts at 10am, every Saturday morning. You will walk along Central Avenue from 1st St to 8th St. RESERVATIONS ARE NOT REQUIRED EXCEPT FOR GROUPS OVER FIVE PEOPLE OR IF YOUR ORGANIZATION WOULD LIKE TO SCHEDULE A WEEKDAY TOUR. The tour meets at the corner of 1st and Central, by the Century Theater. On-street parking is not monitored on Saturdays. Call (505)289-0586 for more information.
