Give the birds that pass through your yard a special valentine by making the windows in your home bird-safe. This event will show how important this problem of birds colliding with windows has become as people urbanize more of the bird habitat. The Collision Magazine published by the Environment for the Americas will be given out to all attendees.
Participants will learn how to evaluate windows around their home for risk to birds. A how-to-make session will conclude this event: make a window strike prevention craft. The workshop will cover the following techniques: screens or netting, decals, tempera paint or soap, ABC bird tape, feather friendly by 3M and zen curtain.
Presented by Central NM Audubon Society.
