Oil paintings of New Mexico landscapes. Runs through 8/15.

Sumner and Dene Gallery and the Vortex Theatre are proud to present the oils of Phil Hulebak in the Vortex lobby May 1 – August 15, 2016. This is a free exhibit, viewable before Vortex performances on Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons through August 14.

 Known for his traditional color oils of New Mexico landscape, Hulebak’s pallet has recently exploded, giving an expansive new color sense to his rich scenes. Many feel Phil is one of the best New Mexico artists and he won the Best Painting category in 2014 at the New Mexico Arts and Crafts Festival.

Hulebak has painted in New Mexico since the ‘70s when he studied art at UNM. His work is now in the University’s private collection, as well as in the corporate arts collections of Coca-Cola, Lovelace, Presbyterian Hospitals.
