Albuquerque Mini Maker Faire
Make it 'Til You Make It
If you don't know what a maker is, then you're probably going to be a human slave in the mineral mines after the robot apocalypse. The makers, on the other hand, will get to enjoy a cushy existence as zoo specimens for robot children to coo at. That's because makers are the wet nurses for the future. They use technology, open-source design and DIY living to build some of the coolest, most mind-blowing arts and crafts seen by man. This Saturday, Aug. 27, expose yourself to the future at the Albuquerque Mini Maker Faire starting at 10am, and see what makes this subculture so interesting. (Joshua Lee)
