Artist Chris Meyer uses photography, collage and digital darkroom techniques to bring attention to parts of the often unnoticed desert landscape. Runs through 8/28.
New Mexico is an ancient place, and the rocks and trees that fill its landscape have many stories to tell. Mixed media artist Chris Meyer has explored many of our local Open Spaces, seeking out these stories to bring to life in his art. Through a unique blend of photography, collage, and digital darkroom techniques, Chris cajoles abstract works of raw beauty out of these fragments of the landscape many of us just walk by, and reveals their stories with accompanying text and images. The show runs June 11 through August 28; opening hours are Tuesday-Sunday, 9-5. Opening reception with the artist: Saturday, June 11, 2-4 PM.
