Short-form improv based on audience suggestions.

Five years ago The Box Performance and Improv Theatre pulled together the best improvisers in the city and put together the most polished improv comedy show Albuquerque has ever seen. That show was called “The Show” and is still going strong today.

“The Show” works in short-form improv based on audience suggestions. Its structure is firm, from the cast’s business attire to a different team member announcing every scene at its beginning and explaining how it will work.

The show is polished and tight, bringing audience members back again and again, that’s why it’s still around.

“The Show” has become one of the best-known and highly attended improv shows in the state. They have won the Alibi Best Comedy Troupe award, Albuquerque the Magazine Top 5 and have sold out nearly every performance for the past 5 years. This, of course, has a lot to do with a wide audience appeal and great word of mouth.

The Show goes on at The Box every Friday and Saturday at 9:00pm
