More events at Sandia Mountain Natural History Center

Seven miles of trails, four self-guided hikes, picnic areas and exhibit room to visitors for a fun day of outdoor adventure in the Sandias.

The Sandia Mountain Natural History Center will open it’s 7 miles of trails, 4 self-guided hikes, picnic areas and exhibit room to visitors for a fun day of outdoor adventure in the Sandias.  Larry Littlefield, author of Wildflowers of the Northern and Central Mountains of New Mexico, will lead a guided wildflower walk at 9:30 am.  At 10:00 am the staff of the SMNHC will lead a guided ecology hike to introduce visitors to the flora and fauna of the area.
