Choose from up to 4 classes per camp session. Pre-registration required, please call Mama’s Minerals at 505-266-8443 to reserve your spot. Classes are subject to cancellation if enrollment quota is not reached.  

Kids Rock Geology - 10 AM: Introduces basic concepts of Geologic Time, the Rock Cycle, Types of Rocks, and best of all, a chance to see and learn about all the beautiful crystals, minerals, fossils, and stones! FREE 

Future Paleontologists - 11 AM: Learn about fossil formation and fossil types in this hands-on, one hour presentation. Build a “fossil” mold using brachiopod fossils and Plaster of Paris. Be prepared to get messy; wear "dirty-able" clothes. $10

Kids' Jewelry Making - 12 PM: Kids, make your own professional-quality beaded necklace or bracelet! Great to wear yourself, or give as a gift. Fee includes materials for one beaded necklace OR one beaded bracelet. $10 

Fabric Earrings/Pendant - 1 PM Using twigs, beads and bells, make your own beaded wind chime to hang on your porch or in your garden. Materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own twigs or jingly objects to incorporate in your creation. $15
