Celebrate lions at the zoo

Join ABQ BioPark Zoo staff and volunteers to celebrate World Lion Day.

Keepers will give a talk at 11 a.m. and visitors can learn more at special discovery stations around the habitat. Visitors can also visit the zoo's new lions Dixie and Kenya, a pair of 2-year-old siblings that arrived in April from the San Diego Zoo.

World Lion Day is Aug. 10, 2016. The international celebration is the first global campaign to celebrate the importance of lions worldwide. More information can be found at www.worldlionday.com
