Long considered one of the most influential contemporary artists working in the West, Abeyta has continued to explore new themes with his vigorous exuberance and boundless creativity. Abeyta writes, "The title of this show, 'A Birds Eve View', is an idea long overdue. Over the years my landscapes have moved above the sage brush and explosive yellow chamisa and found a buoyant, attentive focus into New Mexico's expressive skies...Many of the works in this show yearn to describe these emotions and the idea that everything in the landscape is moving."
