See Nightmare on Elm Street, a fractal show and enjoy a costume contest with prizes.


Leave the kids at home, and enjoy a Halloween party just for adults 21 and older (valid ID required for entry). Dancing and cash bar in the atrium. Fractal shows in the Planetarium for $5. See the original “Nightmare on Elm St.” on the giant screen for $5. Scary delicious food truck goodies on site, and prizes for the best costumes. 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm

There will be a cash bar at the event, there is no ATM on premises.  Please bring your ID.

Online "Nights at the Museum" event ticket sales stop at midnight, 12 a.m. the day of the event. This event is for 21 and over.  If tickets are still available on the day of the event, they will be sold at the Museum Admissions desk on October 28th. 

Tickets for the Planetarium, DynaTheather, Students, and Members will only be available at the Admissions Desk on 10/28 (Students - $12, must show current ID. Museum members - $10, must show current ID)

Fright Night

The New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science will present a “Fright Night” for adults over 21 on Friday, Oct. 28, from 7 to 11pm. There will be a cash bar, food trucks, a costume contest and a DJ spinning tunes in the “Disco Cave.” Admission is $15 in advance through Brown Paper Tickets or at the door. Students are $12 and museum members are $10. For an additional $5, you can check out the “frightening fractals” in the planetarium at 8 and 8:45pm. Or for $5 you can get a ticket to see the 1984 original A Nightmare on Elm Street on the giant DynaTheater screen starting at 9pm.
