New Mexico Music Awards winner Gary Paul headlines the

Second Saturday Community CoffeeHouse on January 14th!

Roger Cook opens for Gary Paul!

The Second Saturday Community CoffeeHouse offers up another great night of family entertainment this month with Santa Fe Singer/Songwriter Gary Paul.

Roger Cook opens up the evening with his optimistic and humorous songs about life. Then Gary, a veteran performer, will take the stage melding the traditions of his Northeast roots with influences from the South and Southwest, creating a travelogue across America's geographic and sonic landscape; from Traditional & Celtic to knock-down Blues, Bebop, Western and everything in-between.

Gary, a resident of Santa Fe, New Mexico, performs throughout the Southwest, both as a soloist and  bassist for other singer-songwriters. He is a member of the Southwest Regional Folk Alliance (SWRFA), Folk Alliance Region West and Folk Alliance Region Midwest (all chapters of Folk Alliance International) and a founding member of the SWRFA New Mexico subcommittee. He was featured performer at the SWRFA-Colorado 2012 conference. Gary, winner of 2016 New Mexico Music Award in the Western category, three-time NMMA nominee, and winner of 2006 Xtreme Folk Scene's Song Contest, also teaches Introduction to Lap Slide at Santa Fe Community College.  He is currently putting the finishing touches on his Sophomore CD to be released on the Storm Canyon Music label with his co-producer, Ms. Lisa Carman. He is also currently exploring movie soundtrack projects with local independent filmmakers.

Roger is a singer/songwriter from Albuquerque, NM. Roger’s music features fingerpicked guitar with songs having various themes including love, humor, the great southwestern outdoors, aging, Christianity and optimistically dealing with life in general.  Many of his songs tell stories about some unusual real life event (or maybe some of those things never actually happened). He released his first CD in 2010 and has recently released his fourth CD “Young at Heart”. All of his music can be found on his music website:
