Children and families explore sound and vibration.
Science workshops for 2-9 year olds AND adult companions. This is an exciting opportunity for families to delve in to science together through hands-on investigations. Choose to attend one of our two sessions of this great event: 11am-12pm or 1pm-2pm.
Join Museum educators as we explore sound in this family workshop “Can You Hear Me Now?”. Sounds are all around us. You’ve heard them, you’ve probably felt them, and maybe you’ve even seen evidence of them! This workshop invites children and families to have fun really listening to and exploring sound and vibration. Parents can rest assured that kids are making “noise” in a Museum with an authentic purpose – learning!
The New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science is a partner site with the Franklin Institute in an NSF grant funded program, “LEAP into Science”, focusing on joining science education and literacy together in fun and engaging investigations for the youngest learners and this adult companions. This workshop is one of many developed by the Franklin Institute.
