The brand new documentary Nasario Remembers the Rio Puerco began at Santa Fe’s Collected Works Bookstore & Coffeehouse when director Shebana Coelho heard author and celebrated folklorist Nasario García tell stories of his boyhood in the ghost towns of New Mexico’s Rio Puerco valley. Coming full circle, Coelho will return to Collected Works (202 Galisteo) to show off a trailer and clips from the upcoming documentary. Coelho, García and poet Anne Valley-Fox will be on hand—along with the film’s production team—to talk about their experiences. The event will take place Thursday, Jan. 12, starting at 6pm.
