Birding and Breakfast

A Chirp Off the Old Block

Live without regrets by making your way to the South Valley's Valle de Oro National Wildlife Refuge for Birding and Breakfast—a Saturday morning event that pairs two of my favorite things: indigenous and migratory birds, and breakfast foods (surely I'm not alone on this one?). The event this coming Feb. 18 matches novices with experienced birders, providing an egg-cellent opportunity for education. Plus, field guides and binoculars are provided, so all you have to do is set your alarm because the fun kicks off at 7am. (Maggie Grimason)
