Festival Ballet Albuquerque: Dance Visions

Dance Dance Revolution

Depicting the stories of people like las soldaderas (the female fighters of the Mexican Revolution), Festival Ballet Albuquerque isn’t all tutus and classical music. The showcase called Dance Visions of contemporary ballet features works by David Chavez, Mel Tomlinson, Dominic Guerra and Alex Ossadnik and aims to be as epic as it is accessible. The dances will live for a single day, March 18, on stage at the the National Hispanic Cultural Center, with performances happening at 2 and 7pm. With tickets starting at $12, Festival Ballet is a steal. Visit nhccnm.org to get in on the action. (Maggie Grimason)
