Pure Grass

Dr. Bruce Noll presents Walt Whitman’s Leaves of Grass in dramatic form.

Sunday, March 26, UNM student organization Scribendi will be hosting a performance of “Pure Grass,” an experience with Walt Whitman’s Leaves of Grass in dramatic form. “Pure Grass” is presented by Dr. Bruce Noll, who has performed across the country, as well as in China, Iceland, and Korea. His dramatic reading of Whitman’s poetry showcases the timelessness and continued relevance of Leaves of Grass in a constantly changing culture. This performance of “Pure Grass” will take place on Sunday, March 26, at 4:30 in SUB Ballroom A at the University of New Mexico. Tickets are $10.00 general admission and a $5.00 suggested donation for students and can be purchased at the door on the evening of the performance. All proceeds benefit student literary magazine Scribendi, a national publication of student art and literature produced by students at the University of New Mexico.
