One of the world's most famous light operas is being performed at the Adobe Theater, April 21st - May 14th.The Mikado is the emperor of Japan in this fictional setting and his son and heir Nanki-Poo has run away from court rather than marry an elderly lady. He falls in love with the beatiful Yum-Yum but she is engaged to another. And the Mikado wants executions to happen on schedule!  The plot is silly and charming, and the music is delightful. Directed by Cy and Jane Hoffman, this crowd-pleaser is suitable for all ages.
