I Have Seen Too Much, I Haven't Seen Enough

One way or another—even through suspiciously derivative means if necessary—there will be a next generation of rocanrol. At the forefront of presenting such sprawling, futuristic leaps into the majestic musical maw that is America, Albuquerque's Launchpad remains the place to go to see the up-and-coming and the soon-to-be-huge. Such may be the case when the rocket ship-themed venue hosts three bands that could very well symbolize the genre's heroic march forward in the face of substantial competition for the great and gathered forces of hip-hop, Americana and EDM. On Friday, May 12, Pennsylvania's own Balance and Composure will be performing a show in support of their new recording, Light We Made. They'll be supported by From Indian Lakes, the project of Californian Joey Vannucchi. Also on the bill is Queen of Jeans, a gritty pop outfit from Philly. For only $15, local 13+ listeners are invited to witness the direction rock might take as we all head toward el porvenir. (August March)
