Flyer

Tamarind institute is undertaking a series of collaborations with three New Mexico artists, who all live and work within a 66-mile radius of the workshop, with the purpose of bringing individuals who are relatively new to collaborative printmaking to work with Tamarind’s highly skilled printers. Each of the three artists involved in the project represents a unique response to New Mexico history, landscape, and culture. Artists include Judy Tuwaletstiwa, Nina Elder, and Diego Romero.

The 6-month project in the workshop will result in an exhibition in the Tamarind Gallery, and three individual video profiles on each artist created by documentary filmmaker Melinda Frame. Video screenings to be announced summer 2017.

Tamarind invites the public to the opening reception of 66 Mile Radius on Saturday, June 17. Artist Talk with Judy Tuwaletstiwa from 5-6 pm. Reception continues from 6-7:30 pm.
