Enjoy open hiking on trails, guided hikes and the museum. Headlamps are recommended.
Join us July 12 from 6:30 PM-8:30 PM. We will have open hiking on our trails, guided hikes, and our museum will be open free of charge. Headlamps are recommended.
From Albuquerque:
Interstate 40 East through Tijeras Canyon.
Get off at Exit 175 for Cedar Crest/Tijeras.
Stay Left and follow signs toward Cedar Crest onto NM-14 North.
Drive 3 miles north on NM-14.
Turn Left onto Columbine Lane.
(Columbine is a small road that can be hard to spot. It is immediately after a small closed-down shopping center. If you reach Talking Talons Thrift Store and Triangle Grocery, you have gone a little too far. On public days, watch for an SMNHC signboard.)
Follow Columbine Lane as it curves (arrow road signs will point the way) for approximately 1/2 mile.
Columbine Lane ends at the SMNHC.
Visitor parking is in the gravel lot upon entering the grounds. Additional parking is straight back, beyond the casita building.
