What does flipping a coin have to do with sub-atomic structure? How is a lottery like water evaporating? We will explore a few different ways in which chance plays an important role in how we understand the world around us.

For this month’s cafe, we welcome Benjamin Yee. Ben works as a physicist with Sandia National Laboratories where he explores the behavior of plasmas using a combination of experiments and computer simulations.
