50th Birthday Bash

Night at the Museum

For many of us in this city, the Albuquerque Museum of Art and History has been a point of pride, a wellspring of inspiration and a rallying point for creatives and their work. Now, after 50 years of existence, the museum is throwing itself a proper birthday party with live music, a live reading from Poet Laureate Jessica Helen Lopez and gallery tours. Curators Andrew Connors and Deb Slaney reveal some of their favorite pieces from the permanent collection at the 50th Birthday Bash. A milestone anniversary for such iconic establishment won't roll around again anytime soon, and all this fun is free to boot, so head to the museum between 5pm-8:30pm to join the party.
