Remember the music behind that old television commercial with cereal shot from cannons? That’s Tchaikovsky’s celebrated, spectacular, and triumphant 1812 Overture, commemorating victory over Napoleon. The evening’s program also includes Smetana’s exuberant Vltava (The Moldau) and Prokofiev’s ravishing and rhythmic Violin Concerto No.1 in D Major, featuring internationally renowned violinist Karen Gomyo.

The Special Event shuttle is fast, easy to use, and free.
It's a great option even if you're running late. Buses run continuously beginning 90-120 minutes before the show, drop you off at Popejoy Hall and return you to the shuttle lot up to an hour after the show. Should you have an emergency, buses are available any time during the show to take you back to your car. All of our shuttle buses are wheelchair accessible.
