70th Anniversary Kosher Kickoff and Concert

A Little Nosh?

I'll let you in on a little secret: You don't have to be Jewish to eat kosher food. Yes, kosher foods do conform to Jewish dietary laws (no cheese on that burger for you), but they're also manufactured under strict rules of cleanliness and preparation—making them healthier than the average American food products. Also, traditional kosher foods are delicious. Learn all about Jewish culture while filling your belly at the 70th annual Kosher Kickoff and Concert. As part of the organization's 70th anniversary, the Jewish Federation of New Mexico is sponsoring this evening of live music and eats at Tiguex Park. Treats from baklava to barbecue (no pig—or hyrax, for that matter) are served. Singer/songwriter Seth Hoffman provides the tunes. Tickets are $20 in advance or $35 on site. (Devin D. O'Leary)
