Minneapolis’ favorite punk-surf-soul bad girls, Black Widows, play rock and roll songs crammed with twangy, moody guitars and gritty bass lines, delightfully topped with sassy girl-group harmonies. Fans of mummies, mobsters, murder, and revenge-seeking cats - beware! Touring with Black Widows is Hastings 3000, a solo conceptual music and visual performance "one-man-band" formed by Joe Hastings in Minneapolis, Minnesota, U.S.A. in 2010.

Live performances will often be the one-man-band deconstructing the "traditional" rock band playing a stripped down, partially homemade drum kit using both feet, percussively strumming the electric guitar with a pencil, singing conscious lyrics. With elaborate costumes and performances, Hastings 3000 may have twenty military uniformed people onstage doing choreographed movements set to experimental soundscapes with projected images.  Stylistically, Hastings 3000 pushes for balance between originality, while embracing some of the irreverent stylings of 70's punk, 80's electro, to performance art.   

Hastings 3000 will be performing with a full band and promoting the release of his epic new album, Invasive Species.
