A celebration of one of Albuquerque’s great neighborhoods originally named Huning’s Highland after the mover and shaker who conceived it, now affectionately known as EDo.

Join us in a celebration of one of Albuquerque’s great neighborhoods. Originally named Huning’s Highland after the mover and shaker who conceived of it and now affectionately known as EDo, this community preserves the past while also looking to the future.

At 1 p.m. community curator Ann Carson will provide an overview of the exhibition. Carson, a longtime resident of the neighborhood, has spent decades archiving the community’s history.

From 2 to 4 p.m. in the Museum’s lobby enjoy the sweet and swinging grooves of Temp Tats Duo featuring Seth Hoffman (guitar, voice, harmonica) and Debo Orlofsky (accordion, voice).

Look to the East

EDo, East Downtown, Huning's Highlands. Whatever you call it, you recognize the old Victorian houses of the little neighborhood that is spread across a handful blocks on either side of Central Ave. Tucked into each brick of these historic homes and the sanitoriums-turned-hospitals up the street are some of Albuquerque's formative stories. These tales will be culled from imagery at the opening of “Mansions, Motoring and Millennials,” a new exhibition at the Albuquerque Museum (2000 Mountain NW). The public opening of the show will take place from 2 to 4pm on Saturday, Nov. 18 and feature The Temp Tats duo. Curator Ann Carson will be on hand for a talk about the works featured in the exhibition just before the reception at 1pm. More information is available online at
