Holiday shopping is well and good—and so is supporting local makers and organizations. But what if you could do both of those things and hang out with birds of prey at the same time? It might sound too good to be true, but Wildlife Rescue of New Mexico is making all of our wildest dreams come true on Saturday, Dec. 2. At Wildlife Rescue, which is on Rio Grande State Park lands, visitors can observe and learn about falcons, hawks and owls, as well as pick up the wares of local crafters, grab some food and participate in a raffle for a one-of-a-kind piece of art. This wild good time runs only between 10am and 4pm, so get to this free event early. (Maggie Grimason)
